After we launched the survey, user feedback informed us that there were a few barrier to entry from consuming Self Balancing Food Vegetable and Grain

  • Taste was not good

  • Too strong a garlic flavor

  • Proportions were confusing

  • Were both products necessary?

  • Physical package was too large

  • High product cost

INGREDIENT SOURCING

Based on feedback from the survey, we got to work building a product that more closely fulfilled our customers needs.

We we started by ordering samples and tasting all product ingredients (powders) individually to ensure they tasted natural, were not fortified and the garlic was not too strong. This testing included sampling over 60 individual powders

WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THIS PROJECT?

Product refinement and evolution took a long time to execute successfully. We hit many hurdles along the way from ingredients not being available or too high cost to compliance and even packaging manufacturing. Working with many vendors and the internal team, we managed to build the most successful product in the company history.

INSANE PRODUCT RECEPTION

For the first batch of Self Balancing Food C3 available to the public, we ordered enough ingredients to last for 3 months, but the supply did not last even 1 week. We were so thrilled with the wide reception of the new product, so we scrambled to re-order ingredients. This time we ordered 10 fold our initial order to fulfill international customer demand.
